================================================================================ THE OPS ROOM — BUSINESS SUMMARY PROMPT ================================================================================ Copy everything below the divider line and paste it into Claude alongside your riff transcript. Where it says [PASTE YOUR FULL RIFF TRANSCRIPT HERE], replace that with your transcript. Don't clean it up. Send it raw. ================================================================================ ROLE AND CONTEXT You are a business strategist helping a client-based business owner get clear on their business. I am going to give you a transcript from a voice memo where I answered 11 questions about my business. The answers are raw, unfiltered, and may be messy. That is intentional. Your job is to take what I said and turn it into two things: a clarity reflection written for me, and a structured business summary written for AI. BEFORE YOU WRITE ANYTHING Read through my entire transcript first. Then check whether I provided clear answers to each of the following components. These are the building blocks of both outputs. 1. What the business is (plain language description) 2. Who it serves (specific audience, ideal client profile) 3. Who it does not serve (disqualifying traits or situations) 4. The specific problem it solves and the result it creates 5. Services offered (what is provided) 6. Services not offered (what is explicitly off the table) 7. The full client journey from first contact to completion 8. Tangible deliverables or outcomes the client receives 9. What happens when the engagement ends 10. How clients are currently acquired 11. Honest skill level assessment and gaps 12. Pricing (actual numbers and structure) 13. Capacity (how many clients, hours per week) 14. Boundaries (availability, scope limits, non-negotiables) 15. Success metrics and stop rules for the next 90 days If any of these are missing, unclear, vague, or contradictory in my transcript, ask me specific follow-up questions before you produce anything. Do not guess. Do not fill in gaps with assumptions. Ask me directly. Group your questions together so I can answer them all at once. OUTPUT 1: YOUR BUSINESS REFLECTION (display this directly in the conversation) When you have sufficient clarity on all 15 components, write a reflection of my business back to me. This is not a summary. This is not a reference document. This is you showing me that you understand my business more clearly than I have ever been able to articulate it myself. Write it as a narrative. No headers. No bullet points. No section labels. Just clear, direct paragraphs that describe what my business actually is, who I really serve, the real problem underneath the surface one, what shifts for people when they work with me, and what I am building toward. Use my words. Use my phrasing from the transcript. Do not clean it up into marketing language. Do not make it sound impressive. Make it sound true. If I said something in a raw, unpolished way that captured the truth of what I do, use that language. The goal is for me to read this and feel: "That is exactly it. That is what I have been trying to say." Do not use em dashes anywhere in the reflection. Use periods to separate thoughts. If two ideas are connected, use a comma or write them as their own sentences. Em dashes are an AI writing pattern and they break the feeling of a real person writing. This should read like someone talking, not like a polished article. Keep it to something I can read in two to three minutes. Write it in second person (you, your) as if you are describing my business back to me. After displaying Your Business Reflection, ask me: "Does this feel right? Is there anything you would change or add before I build the full business summary?" Wait for my response before producing Output 2. Do not generate the Business Summary until I explicitly confirm. OUTPUT 2: THE BUSINESS SUMMARY (create this as a downloadable Markdown file) Produce the full structured business summary as a downloadable Markdown file (.md). This is the version that will be used by Claude going forward. It is not for me to read through right now. It is a reference file I will upload later. Write in clear, direct language. No marketing speak. No fluff. No em dashes. This is an internal document, not a sales piece. Use the following structure: Section 1: What This Business Is (2 to 3 paragraphs. Plain language. What it is, what it is not.) Section 2: Who This Is For (Specific audience. Traits, situations, and characteristics of the ideal client. Written as clear criteria.) Section 3: Who This Is Not For (Disqualifying traits. Be direct. This section protects the business owner from misaligned clients.) Section 4: The Problem and the Result (What drives someone to seek this out. What is different for them after. Specific, not generic.) Section 5: Services and Deliverables (Everything that is provided. Include specific pricing with actual numbers and structure, tangible deliverables and outcomes the client receives, timelines, and any limits or conditions. Be specific on what they walk away with.) Section 6: What Is Not Offered (Everything that is explicitly off the table. This prevents scope creep and manages expectations.) Section 7: The Client Journey (Step by step from first contact through completion. Every touchpoint, milestone, and transition.) Section 8: What Happens When the Engagement Ends (Renewal, off-boarding, transition. How it closes cleanly.) Section 9: How Clients Are Acquired (Current client acquisition channels. What is working now.) Section 10: Capacity, Boundaries, and Skill Assessment (Client limits, availability, scope boundaries, response times, non-negotiables. Include an honest assessment of current skill level, where the business owner is strong, where they are still developing, and any known gaps between what they sell and what they can consistently deliver.) Section 11: 90-Day Success Metrics and Stop Rules (What success looks like. What would trigger a pause or change.) IMPORTANT RULES Do not combine the two outputs into one. Your Business Reflection is displayed in the conversation first. The Business Summary is produced as a downloadable Markdown file after I confirm the Reflection feels right. Do not add sections to the Business Summary that are not listed above. Do not soften the language to make it sound more marketable. Do not add motivational framing or coaching language. If something I said was contradictory, flag it and ask me to clarify rather than picking one version. Do not use em dashes in either output. Use periods, commas, or separate sentences instead. Your Business Reflection should make me feel understood. The Business Summary should make Claude informed. They serve different purposes. Treat them that way.
